With such a talented team contributing to various realms of software development, it is a gratifying moment when one of our teammates receives recognition. This year, our fellow colleague Faith Ekstrand is the recipient of a Khronie Award from the Khronos Group!
"The Khronie Awards are presented to individuals who have made significant contributions in advancing the work of Khronos Working Groups towards their goals."
Contributing to the Vulkan Working Group since 2015, Faith has continued to make a significant impact including reviewing over 40 extensions and authoring 5. Her expertise and diligence has helped to shape the group and we're proud to see her hard work see some well earned spotlight.
At Collabora, Faith not only contributes to industry-wide cross-vendor standards through Khronos, but to Mesa, the flagship open-source framework for accelerated graphics. Faith's work in Mesa sees contributions to every part of the tree, including maintenance of core components like the NIR compiler framework and the common Vulkan support layer, as well as contributions individual drivers and pioneering work such as frameworks for writing Vulkan drivers in Rust.
Congrats Faith!
