Collabora is on the road again! During this week and next, we'll be attending four events: a VR trade show, a hackfest, a conference on Open Source systems, and a day of technical sessions on Vulkan:

  • VR World, May 16-17, London
Daniel Stone, Graphics Lead, and Rachel Scott, Sales Coordinator, will once again be in London this week to attend VR World, "Europe's leading stand alone event on the impact of Augmented, Mixed and Virtual Reality beyond gaming". If you are interested in learning more about Collabora's involvement in the rapidly-evolving VR/AR industry and would like to meet with us, please get in touch!

  • GStreamer Hackfest, May 20-21, A Coruña
Collabora's Multimedia team, including Olivier Crête, Multimedia Lead, and Nicolas Dufresne, Principal Software Engineer, will be present at this year's GStreamer Hackfest, an informal gathering of GStreamer developers who will be meeting throughout the weekend to work on various aspects of GStreamer. Collabora is also very pleased to be sponsoring the main evening event for Hackfest attendees, which will take place on May 20 at A Factoría Verde.

  • OSS 2017, May 22-23, Buenos Aires
Alvaro Soliverez, Project Manager, will be heading to Buenos Aires, Argentina, to attend the 13th International Conference on Open Source Systems, "an international forum where a diverse community of professionals from academia, industry, and the public sector, and diverse FLOSS initiatives come together to share research findings and practical experiences". This will be the first time Collabora attends, so if you would like to meet with Alvaro, please let us know!

  • Vulkanised!, May 25, Cambridge
Hosted by ARM and Feral Interactive, this full day of technical sessions aims to "provide 3D developers a wealth of best practice to help you learn how to get the most out of Vulkan, [ ... ] the open standard graphics and compute API that provides high-efficiency, cross-platform access to modern GPUs". Emil Velikov, Software Engineer at Collabora and Mesa release manager, will be in attendance.

Please reach out if you are planning on attending any of these events and would like to meet!
